Hi, I'm Ram

Python Backend Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience building scalable systems across telecom, geospatial, and disaster-risk domains. Currently at NAXA Pvt. Ltd., where I've shipped production-grade national weather forecast systems used by the Department of Hydrology & Meteorology.

Previously at KrispCall (YC-backed), where I designed VoIP microservices serving 10,000+ concurrent users, integrated 6+ CRM platforms, and built event-driven pipelines with 99.9% uptime. I'm also leading the software development of Nepal's first open-source humanoid robot at HTP Lab.

When I'm not building APIs, I'm exploring the mountains of Nepal or writing poetry — believing that code and art are both ways of making something meaningful out of nothing.

  • Led backend development of Nepal's national weather forecast system for the Department of Hydrology & Meteorology (DHM), integrating ECMWF, NOAA GFS, GLOFAS, and GeoGLOWS data feeds.
  • Built the backend for DASTAA — a flood risk early-warning platform operational in Nepal, Bangladesh, and Malawi, used by local governments and humanitarian organisations.
  • Integrated SMS mass-alerting (Aakash Tel) and IVR voice notifications (Malai Phase Tel) enabling household-level early-warning delivery before flood events.
  • Built async background job processing with Celery and Redis for scheduled forecast ingestion, data transformation, and batch report generation.
